January 14, 2022Granville County Crime Stoppers recently made the 2020 Crime Stoppers awards presentations for community service and support during the annual Crime Stoppers Banquet held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Creedmoor. Award recipients included:
- Tom Lane, Jim and Nancy Smith Citizenship Award
- Carolina Sunrock, Corporate Partnership Award
- South Granville Country Club, Local Business Partnership Award
- Frank Sossamon, Crime Stoppers Board Member of the Year
- The NC Crime Stoppers Cameron Kent Media Award was presented to the Oxford Public Ledger
Recipients of the Crime Stopper of the Year Award to law enforcement officers of each agency within the county were:
- Stem Police Chief Michael Beal
- Creedmoor Police SRP Tony Wallace
- Granville County Sheriff Deputy William Thomas Robinson, Jr.
- Assistant Jail Administrator Woodrow David Yancey
- Stovall Police Chief Craig Williams
- Oxford Police Officer Akeem Revan
- Butner Public Safety Sergeant Nicholas Williams
