There is a new look for an existing Billboard along Hwy 56 East near the I-85 interchange just beyond the Dollar General in Butner. Granville County Crimestoppers has the first, of hopefully more, Crimestoppers billboards in the county. Lamar Outdoor Advertising Company partnered with Granville County Crimestoppers to display Crimestoppers ads on billboards in locations that currently do not have other active business clients. Vincent Fazio, Regional Vice-President said “This is one way that Lamar can partner with local agencies and support the communities we serve.” Doug Herrin, Granville County Crimestoppers Community Relations Chairman explained” This is another tool that Crimestoppers is using to get the word out about the fight against crime in our area. If you see something, say something. You can call 919-693-3100 and leave an anonymous tip concerning any crime or suspected crime that you observe or know about and Crimestoppers will pay a reward for that information if it leads to an arrest/conviction.
You are invited to come by the Crimestoppers booth for additional information at the annual Hot Sauce Festival in Oxford on Saturday, September 9, 2023, the Creedmoor Music Festival on September 16, 2023 and the annual Night Out Against Crime in Butner and Creedmoor on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Crimestoppers yard signs are also available for purchase for $5 each at these events.
